Setup

Topics covered in this tutorial:

  • Setting up your account
  • Adding field boundaries
  • Switching farm datasets

The Setup page is the engine room of your AgDNA PRIME mobile farm. Here all the various information that affects your seasonal activities are recorded, edited and synced. Every time you open your AgDNA PRIME application, the Setup page will begin automatically syncing your farm information.

Syncing

You can manually begin cloud syncing by selecting the Sync option located on the top right hand side of your screen. The status of your syncing is displayed in the small yellow Sync-Bar underneath the main page heading. If you haven’t synced your account in a while or are syncing information for the first time, this process might take a few minutes.

Once changes have been made and your data has been synced, it will now be available on your MyFarm map screen and desktop account.

Setting up your account

The first thing you will need to do is set up a farm. The first time you use the AgDNA PRIME application, a default farm will be automatically generated for you. Additional farms can be added by selecting the Farms section on your Setup page, and then selecting the Add (+) icon from the top right of the screen.

From the Farms section you can also switch between your various farm datasets.

Creating new fields and drawing field boundaries

Whether you’re setting up your farm for the first time or adding/editing boundaries to your existing farm, the Fields section of your Setup page is the hub to begin adding boundaries to your various farms.

To add a new field select the Fields option from the Setup page and then select the Add (+) icon on the top right of your screen. Simply add in your field details and then use the Pin tool to begin drawing boundaries around your selected field. If you’re currently in-field, you can use the My Location icon, located on the far left of the boundary creation window to find your field for easy drawing.

Once you’ve finished drawing your field boundary, select the Save option on the top right of the screen.

Now you can sync your new field. Once that is completed it will become available for viewing on your MyFarm map screen.

Note: Crop variety information won’t be visible on your field until after you create an initial planting record.

Other information

Use the Setup page to create and edit the various equipment, implement, operator and building information that will be used in your activity records.
